Volunteers Needed: Summer of 2023 Tabling in Yellowstone

Jan 23, 2023 | Volunteer to Save Grizzly Bears

volunteers tabling for donations in Yellowstone
Save the Yellowstone Grizzly (STYG) is seeking paid volunteers to table in Yellowstone National Park. Spend a summer in America's first national park educating the public on the plight of the grizzly bear. With 4.4 million visitors to the park from around the world, you will be playing an important role on behalf of the grizzly.

We are looking for paid volunteer crews, with information tables set up at Old Faithful, Tower Fall and West Thumb. Tabling dates are June, July, and August. Roughly, Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Volunteers will table (6-8 hours a day, weather permitting) five days a week with two days off. Commissions will be paid per daily donations. You’ll have time to explore Yellowstone and all that the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem has to offer: hiking, fishing, swimming, wildlife viewing, and soaking in hot springs.

Volunteers are expected to camp or be set up for “van life”. You’ll need a reliable vehicle to travel from the campsite to the tabling sites. STYG will provide camping information. Please be mindful that the campsites fill up quickly within the park.

Volunteers will be educated on the vision, mission, and goals of STYG. We will also update you on the current status and needs of the grizzly bear in the lower 48 states.

Volunteers will be speaking to visitors from around the world and will be the face of the organization. We expect volunteers to conduct themselves in a polite and professional manner at all times.

We look forward to hearing from you.
