Three Grizzly Bears NOT OK after Encounter with Hunters east of Seeley Lake. The official headline reads: “Hunters OK after encounter with three grizzly bears.” The real story? Two grizzlies are possibly dead. Most likely this was a sow with cubs,

How dangerously ignorant do you have to be to leave your kill for hours in grizzly habitat during hyperphagia when bears are desperately eating to survive the coming winter.

Not only do you lose your mule deer, but two grizzly bears were shot and probably lost their lives — all because a few people couldn’t follow the suggested rules written in plain English when hunting in grizzly country. We support game hunting but here needs to be laws and fines around this egregious behavior.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks strongly suggests: Carry Bear Spray and to Use Extra Caution When Retrieving Game.
There need to be real laws and fines for this kind of egregious behavior.

When hunters ignore basic safety and wildlife protocols, it’s not just “an unfortunate incident or self defense” — it’s a preventable killing of a threatened species.

If we want true coexistence, there must be accountability.

No more excuses. No more dead bears.
